My blogging has been a bit sporadic lately. It appears that the process of order in my life has had its taxing moments. This process has a way about it that causes us to have to rethink and restructure practices, schedules and routines.
I’m learning that the process of order in my life has to begin at root level. But the only problem with that is that in order to bring about proper change, I have to break ground all over again; pull up what’s been planted and reseed all over again. I’ve come to realize that the conviction I’ve received from the Lord, when asked to make changes, only prompted me to make minor cosmetic changes. Unfortunately, the root was never touched.
I’ve heard it said, “You could choose to feel the pain of change or the pain of staying the same.” Both hurt. But choosing change will bring about lasting fruit and results. I’m learning that when the call to change and order is sounded, it must be answered and applied at root level. If not, the results are not just fleeting but also minimal.
