I was reading blog stats of the past couple of years and realized that this blog post received the most hits and comments. With that in mind, I figured I’ll go back to come “old school” and repost it again. For all my new subscribers (and old ones) let me know your thoughts on it…
We were designed to solve problems. The things we use today like doorknobs, glasses, chairs, shoes, microphones, etc. were all created to solve problems. A problem existed and an invention was created.
Problems are the catalyst for creativity. Inventors direct their creative passion toward a problem to create a solution for a certain problem. What they created has been given a purpose.
Everything in life has purpose. And yes, even problems have a purpose. The purpose of problems is to build your passion in such a way that you pursue your purpose in order to solve the problem!
You were designed, intended and purposed to solve problems. Problems will come but will only leave when they are solved. Without passion, problems have permanent residency. They are not supposed hang out with you for long periods of time. If a problem becomes a permanent resident in your life, it only communicates the absence of passion to solve it.
We are all on a journey to discover purpose. But purpose will never be discovered outside of problems. And if we don’t marry passion with our problems we will never produce our purpose.
It is very necessary for you to produce your purpose for the reason that you are the solution to someone else’s problems. You are a walking solution to somebody. You are needed! You are necessary to someone!
Here’s the clincher… Problems are produced automatically by life; they are a guaranteed entity. On the other hand, passion must be generated by you. So, it is safe to say that living among problems and not knowing purpose is simply the absence of PASSION. Impact Church, let’s build our passion! Let’s solve problems and fulfill purpose!
