It’s been researched that 99% of life’s experiences withdraw into our subconscious, but only 1% makes it into our conscious memory. And it’s in those very moments that we define ourselves. These moments are laced with impact and defining in nature. These memories could be positive or negative, happy or sad; it’s in the memory of these moments that we are who we are today.
Hindsight is a very powerful tool for those who desire to move forward. Looking back is only wrong if you bury yourself in regret. But sanctified hindsight allows us to identify and meditate on our past processes. When we look back we can realize that every occurrence was a preparation for future opportunities. They become the compass to our future.
It’s time that we learn to redeem our past. Our past is redeemed when we are able to view it through God’s eyes. And when we properly look back, we should be able to see God’s fingerprints regardless of the pain and agony of those moments. Our key to connecting to our destiny is not in front of us, rather in our redeemed memories.
Let’s look deeper than the 1% of what we recall. Let’s look further into the moments and events we’ve experienced along with the lessons taught to us. When we learn to leverage them, it’ll expand our capacity so we can properly steward what God has ordained and purposed for our future!
