I’m currently in Cedar Hill, Texas, a beautiful community outside of Dallas, at the Love Your City gathering held by Pastor Jim Hennesy of Trinity Church. This conference was not advertised to the public. The guest speakers personally invited those attending. I’m thankful that God used Pat Schatzline, one of America’s top youth evangelist and revivalist to invite me. This gathering has come at a perfect time for us.
Last night we drove through the entire campus of Trinity Church and immediately began to dream. The beauty, size and excellence was breath-taking. It says much to me when such a large ministry is interested in only ministering to a small cluster of pastors. This is what Pastor Jim wrote in an email to me,
“My heart for this small gathering of pastors involves clustering leaders who deeply hunger for outpourings of God. We are expecting about thirty pastors and their wives. I wanted to keep it small so that each of us could hear one another’s heart. Beck and I feel strongly that God wants to use this time to enrich our lives and friendships. Expect the event to be loosely structured with moderated conversations around specific kingdom issues that uniquely challenge pastors and pastor wives. Each of us carries a measure of anointing and wisdom which I hope can be exchanged. Don’t plan on fasting because the food will be crazy good! My strongest expectation involves strong spiritual stirrings and impartations. Already, our intercessors have you and your ministry on their radar.”
We (Victoria and I) are at a pivotal point of transition in our lives and ministry. We are excited about new doors, new opportunities and new friends. We’re transitioning from an old season into a new season and direction. As our friends, please continue to pray for us. How we connect outwardly determines our inner well of ministry to the place God has called us to.
