Feeding Season

As you may well know, my writing has been somewhat infrequent this past month.  I haven’t been writing as often as I used to in the past.  The truth is that I believe I’m in a feeding season.

As people of the Kingdom and ministers in particular, we should always be in a state of pouring out to others.  This is our calling and commission.  On the other hand, I also believe that there are specific seasons when we need poring into.   That’s where I am now. God is calling me to a feeding time of recovery and preparation for the future.

God fed Elijah two times for two different purposes in 1 Kings 19:1-7.  The first meal was for recovery and the second meal was a preparation for the upcoming journey.  I believe we live out this same pattern in our own lives.  There are times when God calls away not just to recover but to also prepare us for the upcoming season of much work, warfare, intercession and harvesting.

Our feeding season has to first restore our spiritual health and then “carb load” us for the race that is set before us.   That’s where I am now… It’s feeding time and I can’t seem to get enough of God and His Word.

I challenge you today, prepare for your next season of fruitfulness, enter your feeding season so you will have the capacity to steward what God has prepared for you.
