In the mid 1990’s I heard a message titled, World Shakers and History Makers. I’m not sure where is it originated from, but I do know it became popular and soon thereafter preachers, including myself, were calling it theirs and preaching their own version of it.
I still strongly believe in the essence of the message. I believe that every person on this planet has the potential to be a world shaker and history maker. But I am also certain that the level of it is dependant on the calling of the individual. We all have an opportunity to shake our world and to write our own history for the next generations to read and learn from us. But the question still arises… How?
I come to a conclusion that the difference maker here is PRAYER. A world shaker and history maker is not a famous person, rather an obedient and effectual person. And it’s only through the privilege and responsibility of prayer that we are able to be effective in “our world.”
I heard a great man of God say; “History is shaped by those who pray or History is shaped in the absence of those who could have prayed.” A world shaker and history maker is simply an ordinary person who connects with his or her purpose through the responsibility of prayer, thus making his or her life extraordinary.
Let’s keep praying IMPACT CHURCH! Let’s shake the world and make our own history!
