It’s when the people hear it, get it and act on it! In my 20 years of ministry, that’s what I believe to be the most satisfying thing to a pastor. This very thing is what’s happening in the life of IMPACT CHURCH
Back in November, I began the Praying with Pastor phone conference morning prayer meetings, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am – 8:00 am. We started with a hand-full of people and now we are averaging 30+ callers joining us for prayer – on the phone – every weekday – for almost three months!
The phone conference service sends out an email after every call stating who and how many people logged on to the call, along with the cumulative minutes of all the people who were engaged in the call.
Right now we are averaging about 1,100 cumulative minutes per phone call. For not everyone can pray a complete hour, they come in when they can and disconnect when they have to. But I must admit, it’s quite encouraging to know that 1,100 minutes are being used in the beginning of the day for us to touch heaven, declare and decree the Word of the Lord in prayer and in intercession!
My immediate goal is 2,000 minutes! It has begun already, for in the last two days we’ve surpassed over 1,200 minutes, per call already. People are catching it! A culture of prayer is being established and God’s is doing some great things in our church!
