We all have been given the power and authority, by God, to choose our own destinies and make our own choices. I believe this was incorporated within the breath God blew into Adam when creating humanity. He’s given us the power to produce, the power to decide and the power to think freely. It’s easy to take all of these for granted until something that we cannot control arrives at our lives.
YEP!! I am saddened to announce that my little girl is now an adult! I’ve tried within all the power that God has given to stop time. And for whatever reason, it’s not happening! Calysta Blasie Rivera turned 18 years old yesterday, April 22nd.
I’m lost at words. I didn’t want this day to arrive. I know it sounds very selfish, but these are the feeling of a Daddy who absolutely loves his little girl and doesn’t want to see her grow up!
I couldn’t be more proud of my daughter. And to think that at the end of June, I’ll be flying to New York City to drop her off at college! Please pray for me!!
I have much, much, and much more to say to and about Calysta. I’ll save that until June. But I will say this… If God did grant me the power to return to the past, I’ll come back to the days when she slept peacefully on my chest and sucked her thumb. Yep…that‘ll be it. She knew she had peace, security and a whole bunch of love. And when she was with me, I had all those as well!
