Last night I was invited to the BTTR. It stands for Biscayne Triangle Trucker Round Up. It’s the gathering of the top mobile restaurants in South Florida. They gather in the same location every Tuesday night. Every truck or trailer has it’s own unique recipes and menu of pure and unadulterated comfort food. They took up almost a whole city block and the crowd was quite thick.
When Victoria and I arrived our olfactory bulbs immediately detected the aroma of perfectly designed comfort food. It was like choosing to eat at 30+ restaurants that were all at walking distance.
I had an incredible burger from Grill Master. I’ve never quite tasted a burger like it in my life. They have their own sauce and mixture of sautéed onions….WOW! And then I had to try out a Cheeseme sandwich, which was the highlight of the night! It was a combination of pulled BBQ pork with and incredible Cole slaw, vintage cheese – between perfectly toasted Texas style garlic toasts! – WOW, again!
My desire is that IMPACT CHURCH be as satisfying in spiritual food as the BTTR is in their comfort food. I long to have a church where people will drive from long distances just to sit and enjoy the comfort of the presence of the Lord and the meat of the Word of God. There’s something about real good food that attracts people. And this food doesn’t just come from just the pastor but from everyone there. We are an aroma of Christ that detonate the senses of humanity for the truth.
