In my research and studies last year, I accumulated excatly 40 different topics to write, teach and preach about in 2018. They range in categories such as, intentionality, wisdom, vision, success, timing, leadership, etc. This year the Lord has challenged me to embark in a writing season. I’m certain as I continue in this journey, I’ll come up with more topics to express Biblical truths and to bring people into a place of understanding.
With that said, intentionality is imperative. Intentionality is being deliberate and purposive. And it’s quite impossible to be deliberate and purposive without focus and forethought. In a philosophical definition, Intentionality is the quality of mental states (e.g., thoughts, beliefs, desires, hopes) that consists in the focus of a goal or accomplishment.
So, in anything that you endeavor to accomplish this year, make sure you’re completely engaged in intentionality. I believe it’s the middle ground between our circumstances and God’s involvement. Pray and ask for the mind of Christ to keep your mind focused on the directives He gives you.
And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. (Hebrews 12:1b-2).
What are you endeavoring to do this year? What challenge are you taking on? Whatever it is, concentrate on endurance and keep your focus on the ONE that wants you to succeed. Find joy in the journey. And when you do, you’ll endure anything in order to arrive at your goal.
Happy New Year!
